We have a new opportunity with one of our longstanding clients, an international engineering company who dominate the market around the globe.

About You

  • Hands on experience with machine tools or other heavy industrial equipment / machinery
  • Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge of fabrication welding and welding of hard coatings
  • You will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • You will have knowledge in Geometrical Design and Tolerancing
  • You’ll be a practical problem solver with the ability to investigate issues and develop effective engineering solutions
  • You will be comfortable within an autonomous role
  • You have technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles

About the role

  • You’ll support the assessment of returned machines and components, identifying the most effective solutions for repair, refurbishment or replacement
  • You will inspect pre-used components and produce technical reports to support repair recommendations, cost estimates and rebuild projects
  • Supporting the manufacturing facility, you will ensure products are built on time and in line with project requirements.
  • Working collaboratively with Production and Quality teams, you’ll help ensure projects are delivered on time, efficiently and to the required quality standards
  • You’ll provide technical support to the service team when needed, with regards to technical quotations
  • A key part of the role will involve producing accurate engineering documentation, technical reports, and Bills of Materials
  • You’ll support Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and inspections, ensuring rebuilt equipment meets customer expectations.
