The Role
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support an exciting V-Band High Power Amplifier (HPA) project, as it moves from detailed design into prototype build, testing and evaluation.
This is a hands-on role focused on helping take the hardware through the final stages of development.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the completion of outstanding mechanical design activities.
- Producing and updating CAD models, drawings, assemblies, and BOMs.
- Supporting prototype builds, assembly, and integration of hardware.
- Writing test plans, test procedures, and test schedules.
- Setting up, commissioning, and carrying out prototype testing.
- Supporting thermal, vibration, and environmental testing.
- Investigating test failures and identifying mechanical issues.
- Implementing design modifications and supporting re-testing.
- Analysing test results and producing technical reports and recommendations.
- Managing engineering changes, revisions, and configuration-controlled documentation.
- Producing manufacturing and assembly documentation.
- Working with suppliers and manufacturing teams to resolve build issues.
- Supporting design reviews and project milestones.

We're particularly interested in Mechanical Engineers with a strong background in prototype development and testing.
You should have:
- Mechanical engineering experience within a prototype or product development environment.
- Hands-on experience supporting prototype builds and engineering testing.
- Experience writing test plans, test scripts, procedures, or schedules.
- Experience physically setting up and executing tests.
- Exposure to thermal, vibration, shock, or environmental testing.
- Strong mechanical design and CAD experience.
- Experience with engineering drawings, BOMs, and change control.
- Good understanding of manufacturing and assembly techniques.
- Strong practical problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
- Experience analysing test results and producing technical documentation.
