As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Mechanical Engineer to join our team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer with experience in building services maintenance who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service standards.
The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and mechanical building systems. You will play a key role in ensuring all plant and equipment remain safe, compliant and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance on heating and air conditioning systems.
- Maintain evaporative cooling systems and domestic water systems in line with L8 requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve plant faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Carry out maintenance on mechanical building services equipment including pumps, motors and valves.
- Ensure maintenance records are accurately completed and updated.
- Prepare and follow risk assessments and method statements for all work activities.
- Maintain compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and contractors.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.
- Participate in an out-of-hours call-out and standby rota when required.

About You
Essential Skills & Experience
- Formal training in mechanical services maintenance.
- Experience maintaining pumps, motors and valves.
- Knowledge of heating, cooling and air conditioning plant.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements within maintenance environments.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Desirable
- Experience working on a client-occupied site.
- Basic Building Management System (BMS) knowledge.
- Formal health and safety qualifications or training.
- Certification in the maintenance and operation of evaporative cooling systems.
- Experience operating cooling towers.
