Location: Barton Under-needwood (static site)
Type: Temporary for 3 months
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Rate: £24–25 per hour (umbrella)
Start: ASAP
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer for a temporary opportunity on a static site in Derby. You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and general mechanical maintenance to ensure all systems operate safely and efficiently.

- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks
- Respond to and complete reactive maintenance work
- Perform general mechanical maintenance across the site
- Fault-finding and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Ensure all work is completed in line with current regulations and standards
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
- Work safely and comply with all health & safety procedures
Requirements Of a Mechanical Engineer

- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience in maintenance (PPM and reactive)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
