Plant Engineer | Mechanical Engineer

Witton, Birmingham
8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday Days - overtime as TOIL
£60,000 benefits

The role

  • Own safety, uptime and reliability across your area of plant
  • Drive PPM and root-cause recurring breakdowns
  • Lead CI on availability, energy and cost (FMEA, 5S, Lean Six Sigma)
  • Control engineering spend, spares and contractors
  • Write RAMS, lead investigations and coach the maintenance team

You'll need

  • A Level 3 NVQ or HNC in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 years in a plant or maintenance engineering role in heavy manufacturing
  • Strong hydraulics knowledge (forging presses and furnaces are a big plus)
  • Experience leading change in a unionised environment
  • A can-do attitude and a real sense of urgency
