Redpack Packaging Machinery is a precision engineering company specializing in high-quality packaging solutions for a wide range of products and sectors. Originating as a family business making machine parts in the early 1970s, Redpack has grown into a global provider of HFFS and VFFS machinery and inspection equipment, serving customers in over 50 countries.

The company focuses on adaptable, optimized packaging machines designed to resolve complex packaging challenges and maintain high standards. Collaborative work across design, build, testing, and support ensures efficiency at every stage of the packaging process. Redpack serves sectors including fresh produce, bakery, dairy, confectionery, meat and poultry, fish, non-food, and health and beauty.

Role Overview

This role is responsible for assembling and supporting the build, testing, servicing, and commissioning of packaging machinery, while maintaining high quality standards and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble machinery through to testing and commissioning stage.
  • Service and rebuild machinery at the Redpack facility.
  • Support the training and development of new team members.
  • Use a variety of mechanical fixings during the assembly process.
  • Manufacture chains and sub-assemblies.
  • Identify build issues and communicate these to the relevant personnel.
  • Complete all associated documentation accurately and on time.
  • Participate in and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
  • Take ownership of the quality of work throughout the build process.
  • Fit labels and scales to machinery.
  • Carry out pre-delivery checks prior to dispatch.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Minimum of 3 years' mechanical fitting experience.
  • Can do attitude.
  • Someone who wants to progress.

Desirable

  • Level 3 Mechanical qualification.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday with flexible start and finish times between 06:45 and 17:30.
