Role Description
This full-time Mechanical Engineer role is a hybrid position based in the Manchester Area, United Kingdom, with flexibility for partial work from home. The Mechanical Engineer will design and develop mechanical components and assemblies, supporting production teams with manufacturable and cost-effective solutions. - Creating and reviewing CAD models and drawings
- Performing engineering analyses
- Contributing to machine design and product improvements
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Participating in R&D activities
- Supporting project planning, timelines, and technical documentation
- Assisting in testing and validation
- Troubleshooting issues
- Continuously improving processes to meet Connexus quality and reliability standards

Qualifications
- Strong Mechanical Engineering skills, including understanding of materials, mechanics, and manufacturing processes.
- Machine Design skills, including experience with component selection, tolerance analysis, and system integration.
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, with proficiency in 3D modeling and technical drawing creation using industry-standard tools.
- Project Management skills, including planning, organizing tasks, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Research and Development (R&D) skills, including prototyping, testing, and applying engineering methods to innovate and improve products.
- Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Beneficial skills include familiarity with manufacturing methods, quality standards, and safety regulations, as well as strong analytical and communication abilities.
- Experience in industrial, machinery, maritime, or automotive sectors and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment are advantageous.
