Mechanical Estimating Manager (Building Services)

£75,000 - £90,000 + Company Benefits + Bonus + Private Healthcare + Progression + Opportunity to Build a Team + Early finish on a Friday + Car Allowance

Are you a senior Mechanical Estimator or Estimating Manager from a Building Services background looking to take ownership of a growing estimating function, build a team around you and play a key role in the continued expansion of a leading MEP contractor?

This long-established building services company has seen continued success and growth since its establishment in 1963. Specialising in large, complex MEP engineering projects across the Commercial, Healthcare, Education, Life Sciences, Heritage, Hospitality and Residential sectors, the business delivers multi-million-pound projects throughout the UK and Ireland. With ambitious growth plans across the UK, they are now looking to appoint a senior Mechanical Estimating Manager to lead and develop their estimating capability.

In this role, you will:

  • Take ownership of the mechanical estimating function, overseeing high-value tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and handover
  • Develop tender strategies, review estimates, manage key supplier and subcontractor relationships and identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities across complex MEP projects

The Role:

  • Take ownership of the Mechanical Estimating function for major MEP projects
  • Lead high-value tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and handover
  • Develop tender strategies and review complex mechanical estimates
  • Build, develop and manage a Mechanical Estimating team
  • Manage key supplier, subcontractor and client relationships
  • Identify commercial risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions

Fully remote for the first 3-4 months

The Person:

  • Senior Mechanical Estimator
  • Building Services / MEP background
  • Experience pricing and managing large, complex mechanical projects
  • Looking to build and lead an estimating team
