G Beverley & Son Limited is a well-established mechanical contractor based in Leeds, delivering high-quality mechanical pipework & public health installations across a range of commercial and industrial projects.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Mechanical Estimator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in securing and delivering projects while working within a friendly, supportive and professional environment.
We are open to considering both full-time and part-time applicants and can offer flexibility for the right candidate.
Role Description
The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical and pipework projects, including labour, materials, and subcontractor services. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings and specifications, conducting site visits, analysing tender documentation, and producing accurate quotations and bid submissions.
The role involves close collaboration with project teams to clarify technical requirements, identify value engineering opportunities, and ensure estimates align with client expectations and company standards. The Mechanical Estimator will also maintain and update pricing databases, support project handovers, and assist in budget monitoring and cost control.

About You
- Strong mechanical estimating skills, including experience with mechanical services, pipework systems, and public health installations.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents, with solid analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency with estimating software, MS Excel, and other relevant digital tools used in cost planning and bid preparation.
- Knowledge of commercial and industrial building services, M&E coordination, and construction industry standards and regulations.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with project teams, suppliers, and clients.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously.
- Previous experience in a mechanical estimating or related building services role; experience within the Leeds or wider Yorkshire market is an advantage.
- Relevant technical qualification in mechanical engineering, building services, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to attend on-site meetings and surveys as required.
