Our client, a leading company in the renewables sector, is currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join their team in Turriff, Aberdeenshire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, and test mechanical equipment and components in line with engineering drawings, ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Operate hand and power tools confidently while maintaining quality, accuracy, and efficiency throughout the build process
- Work closely with your Supervisor and colleagues to ensure project deadlines are achieved and customer requirements are met
- Identify and report any defects, damage, or quality issues, ensuring they are communicated and resolved promptly
- Support and mentor apprentices, sharing knowledge and promoting good working practices across the team
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop by following 5S principles, risk assessments, permit to work systems, and company HSEQ procedures

Job Requirements:
- A recognised engineering or trade apprenticeship, with good secondary education
- HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering would be advantageous
- Previous experience in a mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or workshop environment
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and assembly documentation
- Experience assembling mechanical equipment and working with limits and fits on machined components
- Confidence using hand tools, power tools, and heavy workshop equipment, along with measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier gauges, and dial indicators
- Experience using manual and hydraulic bolt torquing equipment is desirable
- Knowledge of working with heavy machinery would be preferred
