Mechanical Assembly Fitter
Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
Shift Pattern:
- Week 1: Mon-Thu 06:00-14:30, Fri 06:00-13:00
- Week 2: Mon-Thu 14:00-20:30, Fri 14:00-18:00
Salary: £46,000 (including shift allowance)
About the Role
A leading manufacturer of rotating equipment is actively seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Assembly Technician to join their workshop team on a double-day shift pattern.
Their innovative machinery is used across a wide variety of industries including oil & gas, renewables, nuclear, chemicals, refrigeration, and defence.

Responsibilities
This role will involve the assembly and disassembly of units from engineering drawings using various components and sub-assemblies, so an ability to interpret drawings and specifications as well as excellent manual dexterity are all key.
Components range in size and complexity from micro components up to large multi-part fabrications. You will also be required to produce reports including strip inspection and conduct root cause analysis when required.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working to high tolerances, strong problem solving skills, the ability to use a range of measuring equipment and safely operate air powered and electric tools.

Qualifications
Applications are invited from experienced Mechanical Fitters, Assembly Fitters, Assembly Technicians, Toolmakers, Tooling Engineers, or manual machinists with fitting or assembly experience.
