Mechanical Fitter - Leeds

About the Role

Texo Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our Utilities division within Asset Lifecycle Management.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineering professional to work on complex utility projects across the UK, supporting the delivery of high quality engineering solutions while leading teams on-site and maintaining strong client relationships.

The successful candidate will play a key role in project delivery, technical problem solving, site supervision, and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the safe and efficient delivery of complex engineering projects
  • Lead and supervise teams on-site across utilities projects
  • Provide technical expertise across mechanical, civil, hydraulic, electrical, and utilities engineering disciplines
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders on-site
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety procedures and company policies
  • Deliver toolbox talks, site documentation, RAMS, permits, and project handovers
  • Assist with project planning, procurement, and operational delivery
  • Mentor and support the development of junior engineers and team members
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges to ensure successful project outcomes

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience within the Utilities industry
  • Strong engineering background across mechanical, civil, hydraulic, electrical, oil & gas, or related sectors
  • Experience supervising teams and working directly with clients
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong organisational and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work safely and effectively in challenging site environments
  • A proactive, hands on approach with a strong work ethic
