Mechanical Fitter

First Achieve Engineering Recruitment are actively seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter on behalf of our client.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled fitter with experience working on industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Mechanical fitting, assembly, and installation of components.
  • Planned and preventative maintenance.
  • Fault-finding, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs.
  • Working on machinery including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and radial arm drills.
  • Ensuring machinery is maintained to a safe and efficient standard.
  • Working both independently and as part of an experienced engineering team.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Maintenance Fitter.
  • Strong mechanical fitting and maintenance experience.
  • Experience working with industrial/manufacturing machinery.
  • Good mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong understanding of health & safety.
  • Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Rate of Pay: from £37-42K Per annum

Standard Hours: 8am-4.30pm Mon-Thu 8am-2.30pm Friday
