Company Description
BRG Recycling Machinery Ltd is a specialist manufacturer and supplier of recycling equipment, serving a wide range of industrial and commercial customers. The company focuses on designing, building, and maintaining machinery that helps organisations manage waste more efficiently and sustainably. Team members work in a hands-on environment with robust engineering and fabrication processes.
Due to sustained and significant growth, we are looking for experienced fitters to join our manufacturing team.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Fitter role based in Sheffield. The Fitter will assemble, install, and maintain recycling machinery and associated components, following technical drawings, specifications, and standard operating procedures. Day-to-day tasks include mechanical fitting, basic fabrication, and adjustments. The role involves using hand and power tools, ensuring equipment meets safety and performance standards, and supporting machine testing and commissioning before delivery to customers. The Fitter will work closely with engineers and other team members, maintain a clean and organised workspace, and follow all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications
- Strong mechanical fitting skills, including assembly, installation, and alignment of machinery components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of basic fault-finding and mechanical troubleshooting in industrial equipment.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety practices, including safe lifting and use of PPE.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, engineering, or recycling machinery is essential.
- Relevant vocational qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical engineering, fitting, or a related field is preferred.
- Good communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
