Job Opening: Mechanical Fitters
For future power plants construction, commissioning and maintenance projects across UK, Ireland, Africa and APAC countries we are looking for Mechanical Fitters.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble, strip, and reuse steam turbines and generators components according to engineering specifications, ensuring all parts meet exacting standards.
- Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment with high accuracy to perform mechanical fitting tasks on rotating equipment.
- Safely operate lifting equipment and fixtures to efficiently move components during the assembly process while maintaining accurate records of build figures and production data.
- Uphold a strong commitment to quality and safety standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Actively identify and suggest ideas for process improvements, fostering open communication and collaboration with supporting departments to enhance efficiency and quality.

- A recognized Level 3 apprenticeship in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent technical certificate in a mechanical engineering field, along with relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrable experience in a mechanical fitting role, preferably involving mechanical equipment.
- Proficiency in mechanical fitting, use of precision measuring equipment, and operation of hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to quality control and adherence to safety protocols.
