Mechanical Fitter (Metrology / OEM)

£34,000 - £38,000 + In-House Training + International Travel + Progression + Annual Bonus + Enhanced Holidays + Company Benefits

Location: Bath

Are you an experienced mechanical Technician, with knowledge of the aerospace industry or similar, looking to join a company who will provide you with exposure to advanced technologies and excellent training to develop your skillset?

This company provide metrology and calibration solutions for precision engineering in the aerospace industry. They assemble and utilise their own bespoke equipment to precisely measure manufactured components for companies like Rolls Royce, GE Aerospace, NASA, and The MoD.

On offer is the chance to become a vital asset to the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and electrical engineering, to be able to tackle fault finding, assembly and maintenance of the machines. You will be working in a team of skilled engineers, while undergoing on-the-job training for all of their bespoke equipment.

This role would suit any mechanical fitter from the precision engineering/aerospace industry, looking to join a growing company who provide opportunities for career progression and performance bonuses.

The Role:

  • Mechanical assembly of rotary tables and inspection systems
  • Electrical wiring, integration, and basic fault finding during assembly
  • Calibration of finished products to meet ISO and internal quality standards
  • Conduct FAT tests and prepare equipment for dispatch
  • Willingness to travel globally to install, commission, service, and calibrate systems at customer sites
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical faults both in house and in the field

The Person:

  • Experience in a mechanical fitter role within the precision engineering industry
  • NVQ level 3 in mechanical/electrical engineering
  • Full UK driving licence
