Mechanical Fitter
Are you a Mechanical Fitter looking for your next opportunity? Do you have experience assembling mechanical assemblies for CNC machine tools, including pneumatics, hydraulics, or pressure-based fluid systems? If so, this could be the perfect role for you.
Our client, a leading engineering and manufacturing business, is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join their team in Leicestershire. The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical assembly background, the ability to read engineering drawings, and experience building precision machinery to a high standard.

Job Description
- Assemble mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies for CNC machine tools to engineering specifications
- Install and assemble pneumatic, hydraulic, and pressure-based fluid systems
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and technical documentation
- Carry out mechanical testing, fault finding, and adjustments to ensure equipment meets quality standards
- Work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure projects are completed on time
- Maintain a safe and organised working environment while following company health and safety procedures
Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications

- Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Machine Builder, or Mechanical Assembly Technician
- Experience assembling mechanical assemblies for CNC machine tools or similar precision machinery
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and pressure-based fluid systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
