About the Role
We are currently recruiting experienced Mechanical Fitters and Fabricators to support ongoing outage and shutdown work within the power generation sector.

Fabricator Duties
As a Fabricator, Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Measuring and marking out dimensions and shapes of metal components.
- Cutting and shaping metal plates using shears, saws, and oxy-fuel cutting equipment.
- Forming and bending metal plates to the required shape using rolling and press brake techniques.
- Preparing and aligning metal components for welding and assembly.
- Welding and bolting metal parts together to assemble structures.
- Inspecting fabricated components using measuring tools such as callipers, gauges, and tape measures.
- Carrying out repairs and modifications to existing metal structures as required.
- Operating and maintaining fabrication equipment including cutting machines, grinders, and welding equipment.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures and quality standards.

Mechanical Fitter Duties
As a Mechanical Fitter, Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Carrying out mechanical fitting activities associated with the dismantling, inspection, repair, overhaul, assembly, and testing of equipment.
- Inspecting and assessing equipment condition and producing accurate reports.
- Working competently with hydraulic systems and associated equipment.
- Liaising with supervisors and management teams to identify repair and refurbishment solutions.
- Performing mechanical fitting activities efficiently to achieve quality and delivery targets.
- Ensuring all work complies with company and customer HSQE requirements.
- Supporting outage and shutdown activities across power generation sites.
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Time Served Apprenticeship.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Trade Qualification.
- Valid CCNSG Safety Passport, CSCS Card, or ACE Card.
- IPAF 3A & 3B (Fabricators).
- Minimum 3 Years' Experience In a Similar Role.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Desirable Requirements
- Previous outage/shutdown experience within the Power Generation sector.
- Experience working within EFW (Energy from Waste) and CCGT power stations.
- Confined Space Medium Risk certification.
- Additional site safety certifications and permits would be advantageous.
