Mechanical Inspectors / Fitters – LM2500

Location: Aberdeen

Employment Type: Permanent

Relocation Support will be considered

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is more than simply joining an established workshop. Following major new contract awards, an established gas turbine repair and overhaul specialist is launching a brand-new LM2500 product line in Aberdeen, supported by a newly equipped facility specifically developed for the programme.

This is an opportunity to join at the very beginning of this new capability, becoming part of the specialist team that will help establish and develop the LM2500 operation.

The business recognises that experienced LM2500 personnel may not currently be based in Aberdeen and is therefore conducting a UK-wide search, with relocation support being considered for suitable candidates.

We are interested in speaking with experienced Mechanical Inspectors and Mechanical Fitters with a background in gas turbine repair, overhaul, inspection, assembly or maintenance.

The Opportunities

Depending on your background and experience, you will work across mechanical fitting, engine/module overhaul or mechanical inspection activities within the new facility.

Mechanical Fitting / Overhaul

  • Receipt of engines and modules.
  • Strip and build of engines and modules.
  • Assembly and overhaul activities in accordance with relevant technical procedures and documentation.
  • Balancing of rotating components.
  • Ensuring the correct standards of material handling are maintained.
  • Planning and organising allocated work to meet required turnaround times.
  • Providing regular progress updates and highlighting issues that could impact delivery.
  • Providing technical support and on-the-job training where required.
  • Supporting Inspection activities depending on operational requirements.
  • Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and workmanship.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
