Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Newark - £50K
The Role
The role involves:
- Supporting operations in a professional manner.
- Providing Total Plant Maintenance and help other staff to do the same.
- Responding to equipment breakdowns to ensure the Factory’s downtime is kept to a minimum.
- Ensuring spare part stock is kept up to date.
- Analysing data to identify areas of improvement.
- Providing management with advice on any potential performance improvements.
- Problem solving to always find the Root Cause of all problems as quickly as possible.
- Working safely and complying with legislation.
- Undertaking additional training if need be to maximise your potential.

The ideal candidate will:
- Have a practical and mechanical ability to solve production related issues, refine processes where possible and apply continuous improvement principles in relation to the manufacturing process.
- Be a competent welder fabricator.
- Electrical experience desirable but not essential.
- Have fitting and fault finding skills and be able to manage spare part stocks and ordering.
- Have a good standard of written and spoken English, be numerate and highly responsible in your attitude.
- Be self motivated, conscientious, enthusiastic, and curious.
