Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical Bias

Location: Louth LN11
Salary: £39,000 per annum
Hours: 06:00-18:00 / 18:00-06:00
Shift Pattern: Friday-Sunday, rotating 1-week / 2-week days and nights
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical bias looking for a new opportunity within a manufacturing environment? We are working with an established manufacturing business that is looking to appoint a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team following the departure of an existing team member.

This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer who enjoys working with a wide range of industrial machinery and wants the opportunity to develop their skills and progress within the business. The successful candidate will be joining a well-established engineering function, with investment in training, site and machinery familiarisation, alongside plenty of scope for future progression into Team Leader, Supervisor and potentially Engineering Management positions.

The Role

Working as part of the engineering team, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of manufacturing machinery. The role is approximately 70% mechanical / 30% electrical, making it particularly well suited to a mechanically biased Multi-Skilled Engineer who is comfortable carrying out electrical fault-finding when required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
