Maintenance Engineer
Location: Grimsby, DN31
Salary: £44,340 starting salary + monthly incentive scheme + 8-week closure incentive
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:10
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for a secure, long-term opportunity with a well-established manufacturing business?
We are currently recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an established engineering team at a major manufacturing site in the Grimsby area. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to work Monday to Friday, days-based hours, while benefiting from a strong salary package, incentive schemes and enhanced overtime rates.
The Package
- £44,340 starting salary
- Monthly incentive scheme
- 8-week closure incentive
- Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:10
- Overtime paid at 1.5x Monday - Saturday
- Overtime paid at 2x on Sundays
- Employer pension contribution of up to 12%
- Full-time, permanent position

The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the ongoing reliability and performance of site machinery and production equipment. Working as part of the engineering team, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site
- Diagnosing and rectifying electrical and/or mechanical faults
- Responding effectively to equipment breakdowns
- Supporting preventative maintenance programmes
- Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability
- Ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently
- Working closely with production and other departments to minimise downtime
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
About You

The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- A recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent
- Good electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience
- The ability to work independently as well as part of an engineering team
- A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement
- Strong health & safety awareness
