Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Willand, South Devon

Salary: Highly Competitive + Excellent Benefits Package

Shifts:

  • Continental Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off
  • Day Shifts: 06:00 - 18:00
  • Night Shifts: 18:00 - 06:00

About the Role:

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining site operations by overseeing engineering and maintenance repairs, handling breakdowns, and executing planned and preventative maintenance schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Engineering and Maintenance repairs on-site, largely for Production Machinery and some building repairs.
  • Fixing rollers, small gearboxes, and small motors, as well as hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Supporting the team with machinery breakdowns as needed and contributing to some maintenance planning.
  • Ensuring smooth operations across the site as part of a wider maintenance team.

About You:

This position is ideal for a candidate with hands-on Mechanical experience, who is looking for a fantastic career opportunity within an industry-leading organisation, widely known for internal opportunities for both technical and career ladder progression. Experience in a fast-paced environment is desirable but not essential - if you have any Mechanical Maintenance experience, we'd love to hear from you!

  • Time-Served Apprenticeship in Mechanical Maintenance or relevant discipline, or NVQ 3 as a minimum with related industry experience.
  • Desirable: Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, or fast-moving production machinery.
