Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Working Location

  • Location: Esbjerg, Denmark
  • Assignment Type: Residential - Contract
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: 12 Months
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
  • Department: FOPS
  • Location to Perform the Work: Full Time Onshore + Occasional Short Offshore Trips

Scope of Work

The service covers the scope below:

  • Fire Water Pumps
  • Sewage
  • Potwater
  • Hydraulic Panels
  • General Mechanical
  • Valves
  • Chokes
  • IPOC

Maintenance Planning & Execution

  • Organize and prepare maintenance activities in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare work orders for maintenance tasks, ensuring quality and cost-consciousness.
  • Use SAP CMIMS for work preparation of routine and non-routine activities.
  • Contribute to campaign scope preparation for assigned area of responsibility.

Technical Expertise & Support

  • Serve as the focal point for relevant sub systems.
  • Provide Tier 2 technical assistance and expertise to IPOC.
  • Support SECE guardian for assigned SECE subsystems.
  • Participate in risk assessments and provide technical input for new contracts and tenders.
  • Contribute to SQMs for contracts related to life saving equipment systems.

Stock & Asset Management

  • Act as technical specialist in stock management within discipline.
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained at optimal levels, managing costs and obsolescence.
  • Manage backloads of equipment for refurbishment and reintegration into stock.
  • Perform quality control of components prior to shipment for critical activities.

Budget & Performance Monitoring

  • Provide input for budget exercises and alert the team lead on potential overruns.
  • Manage backlog and define actions to keep it at a manageable level.

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Engage regularly with site personnel, contractors, and vendors.
  • Contribute to planning and scheduling processes.
  • Ensure all relevant documents in the CMS are up to date.

Background / Qualification / Experience

  • Qualification Level: Bachelor's or equivalent level
  • Technical Skills: Specific technical fire water pump and deluge knowledge; ability to assess complex drawings and subsystems; ability to navigate international standards in area of expertise
  • Behavioural Competencies: Ability to understand, explain, and present to both technical and nontechnical audiences in a persuasive and convincing manner
  • Language Skills: English
  • Certification: Bachelor engineering degree level
  • Professional Experience: 10 years in Oil & Gas industry with specialist experience
  • Level of Experience: 3 (Jr) to 10+ years (Sr) experience within Offshore industry with background in cranes and associated equipment and machinery
  • Experience:
    • Working on North Sea projects
    • Experience using SAP

  • Offshore Mandatory Training & Medical.
  • Costs covered by Contractor but has the option to only obtain the training after the service award or commencement of the role.
