Are you a Mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer looking to join a business investing heavily in its people, equipment and future? This is a dayshift 4 on 4 off role.

We're recruiting for a growing food manufacturing business that is expanding its engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to move into a role where you'll have genuine input into improving reliability, reducing downtime and supporting exciting site improvement projects.

The Role

You'll be responsible for maintaining a range of automated production equipment while helping drive a proactive maintenance culture. Alongside planned and reactive maintenance, you'll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive mechanical maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair faults to minimise downtime.
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Work on production equipment including mixers, ovens, conveyors and associated machinery.
  • Complete maintenance records using a CMMS.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with food manufacturing standards.

About You

  • Time-served Mechanical Engineer or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous maintenance experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or another fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • Basic electrical knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Experience using a CMMS.
  • Proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
