Unique opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanical Fitter to join a prestigious training facility in Chatham, Kent.

£36K rising to £38K after probation period + excellent benefits, training, and career prospects. 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday), permanent.

The Maintenance Mechanical Fitter will work on inspection, testing, and repair of mechanical machinery and equipment used within the technical trade training workshops, offices, and classrooms covered by MKC Training estates (including Brompton, Wainscott, and Maidstone).

The Maintenance Mechanical Fitter will be required to hold relevant qualifications such as an Apprenticeship or training with C&G, NVQ, or equivalent, and will work on a variety of equipment requiring the following skills:

  • Machine turning
  • Milling
  • Bench fitting
  • Welding and brazing
  • Sheet metal work
  • Petrol and diesel engines/generators
  • Pumps and hydraulics
  • Servicing of small and large machines
