Permanent Position

A leading manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join its established engineering team.

The Role

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance
  • Diagnosing faults and minimising equipment downtime
  • Maintaining and repairing plant machinery and equipment
  • Supporting TPM and continuous improvement activities
  • Assisting with machinery installations and engineering projects
  • Working closely with production teams to maximise plant performance

About You

To be considered, you will have:

  • A recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or heavy engineering environment
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Welding, grinding, and fabrication experience
