As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our Asset Care team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution facility in Swanbank, Queensland.

The Opportunity

Working within our Asset Care team, you will play a critical role in delivering planned maintenance, responding to breakdowns, driving equipment performance and improving reliability across our highly automated manufacturing & distribution operation.

  • You'll work across advanced production lines, automated systems, utilities and site infrastructure
  • Collaborating closely with Production, Quality and Operational Excellence teams to ensure world-class manufacturing performance

This is the perfect opportunity for a mechanically qualified professional who enjoys getting hands-on, leading problem-solving activities and influencing operational improvements that deliver real business outcomes.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Act as a subject matter expert in mechanical troubleshooting and higher-order problem solving delivering:

  • Deliver planned, preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance activities across the manufacturing site.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and process-related equipment issues.
  • Analyse equipment failures and identify effective corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.
  • Support maintenance planning activities, shutdowns and corrective work scheduling.
  • Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency and equipment performance.
  • Lead and participate in root cause analysis (RCA) investigations.
  • Support and deploy Suntory's global operational excellence system, Monozukuri.
  • Coach and support manufacturing team members in machine operation, fault finding, set-up and centre-lining activities.

What You'll Bring

  • Trade qualification in a Mechanical discipline.
  • Experience working with high-speed processing and packaging equipment within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capability.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive, outcome-focused mindset with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
