Job Description
Our client is looking for 2 Mechanical Service Technicians/Engineers to work in pairs covering the whole of the UK, servicing and maintaining their products on clients' sites. The role will pay £15/hr, and all hours outside of core hours (8am-4.30pm) are paid at £20/hr, including travel time to client sites. Average working week with travel time can be 50-55 hours per week, so a great opportunity to earn. The current team earns on average £45-55k p/a. The role offers an interesting and varied role with the main duties including:
- Attending customer sites to service and repair a range of mechanical processing equipment.
- Provide detailed and accurate reports on the condition of the customers' equipment, following onsite machine examinations.
- To investigate/identify machine problems in an emergency breakdown situation.
- Identify situations whilst on site, where productivity or efficiency improvements to equipment can be recommended to the customer
- Full training will be provided to understand company equipment and training courses paid for by the company.

Essential Requirements
- Solid mechanical background, qualifications not essential but good mechanical problem-solving mindset.
- Full Driving License.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both customer-facing and with internal/external staff.
- Flexible working approach, which will include some weekend and unsociable working hours along with some overnight stays.
- Average working week 50 to 60 hrs with travel time, overseas work in Ireland required.
Package
- Contracted hours are 40 hours. 8am to 4.30pm
- 22 days holiday + bank holidays paid.
- Van provided + fuel card
- Out of hours working including out of hrs travel are paid at time and 1/3rd.
- Saturday working is paid at time and 1/3rd all day. (none working Sundays)
- Expenses = hotels, breakfast allowance, lunch allowance, and evening meal allowance dependent on arrival home time, a standard for overnight.
- Government backed Pension is provided.
- Van for company use with fuel card.
- All tools required and PPE are provided.
- All certification courses for safe working are provided, e.g., FLT/IPAF/Confined space.
