Process/Service Engineer

As a Process/Service Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in preparing, deploying, and maintaining Orège’s equipment. You will work both in our Stoke-on-Trent workshop and on customer sites, ensuring our systems run smoothly and reliably.

This is a great opportunity to work in a growing sector, take part in the delivery of innovative cleantech services, and gain exposure across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities

Workshop Responsibilities

  • Prepare, test, and maintain equipment before and after site deployment
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance (mechanical/electrical)
  • Manage workshop tools and spare parts, ensuring equipment readiness
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety within the working environment

On-Site Operations (UK + Europe)

  • Install and commission sludge treatment systems at client facilities
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair during site visits
  • Support commissioning engineers and service contract activities
  • Adhere to all Orège safety and quality standards

Documentation & Reporting

  • Complete technical service reports and checklists
  • Assist with FAT/SAT procedures and field testing
  • Provide feedback to improve reliability and performance of systems

Client Interaction

  • Represent Orège on site with a professional, service-minded attitude
  • Offer basic guidance and support to client operators during deployment
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with clients and internal teams

Your Profile

Qualifications & Experience

  • Technical diploma or vocational qualification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance (e.g. NVQ, HNC/HND, City & Guilds)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a field technician, service engineer, or maintenance role
  • Experience in wastewater treatment, utilities, or mobile equipment is a plus
  • Knowledge of pumps, valves, VFDs, sensors, and basic PLCs preferred

Skills & Attributes

  • Self-starter, solution-oriented, with good attention to detail
  • Strong diagnostic skills (mechanical and/or electrical)
  • Able to work independently and take ownership on site
  • Good communicator, customer-focused, and team-oriented
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools

Other Requirements

  • Valid driving license
  • Willing to travel and stay overnight when required
  • Fluent English; French is a bonus
