PipeWize Ltd is a growing mechanical and industrial contractor delivering coded welding, pipefitting, mechanical installation, lifting and rigging services across major construction, energy, nuclear, manufacturing and renewable-energy projects.

As our operations continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Procurement Engineer to manage the sourcing and procurement of mechanical equipment, materials, and subcontracted services for both tender preparation and project delivery.

The Role

The Mechanical Procurement Engineer will work closely with the engineering, commercial and project teams to ensure that all materials and equipment are technically compliant, commercially competitive and delivered in accordance with project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all required quality and compliance documentation is obtained, including material certificates, inspection records, test certificates, warranties and technical data sheets.
  • Support supplier inspections, non-conformance resolution and material acceptance processes.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information and cost reports.
  • Monitor procurement expenditure against project budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with reliable UK and international suppliers.
  • Support the evaluation, approval and ongoing performance monitoring of suppliers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
