We are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join Tilbury Douglas Engineering to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of projects across the South West & Cornwall.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the mechanical delivery across a diverse portfolio of projects. Working collaboratively with design teams, supply chain partners and project teams, you will coordinate the procurement, installation and delivery of mechanical packages from design through to completion.

With a strong focus on offsite manufacture, modularisation and digital delivery, you will help ensure mechanical works are fully coordinated and delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Duties

  • Manage the procurement, technical review and administration of mechanical equipment, subcontractors and suppliers, driving quality, value and innovation throughout the supply chain.
  • Oversee mechanical installation works, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, technical standards, project specifications and quality requirements.
  • Monitor programme, cost and progress of mechanical works, supporting successful project delivery through effective planning, reporting and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Carry out factory inspections, quality audits and quality assurance activities, maintaining high standards of workmanship and supporting successful project completion.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
