Mechanical Project Engineer
Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset
Up to £75,000 + £5,500 Car Allowance
Full Time | Permanent | 9-Day Fortnight | Hybrid Working
Travel & accommodation allowance for travelling from further afield.
The Opportunity
Mechanical Project Engineer required to support the delivery of mechanical building services packages on Hinkley Point C, one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical or Building Services Project Engineer to move onto a major engineering programme. Previous nuclear experience is beneficial but not essential, with applications welcomed from candidates from M&E contracting, building services, infrastructure and other complex engineering environments.

The Role
- Deliver mechanical building services packages including HVAC, pipework, heating and cooling systems
- Coordinate engineering, construction and project delivery activities
- Develop and manage project programmes and schedules
- Coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials and procurement
- Review mechanical drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Monitor project progress, costs and commercial performance
- Ensure works meet required safety, quality and technical standards
- Work closely with clients, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams
About You
- ONC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline
- Experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer, Building Services Project Engineer or similar
- Strong knowledge of mechanical installations and project delivery
- Good organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience within a major project or regulated environment would be advantageous
