Hays Building Services are pleased to be assisting a public sector organisation in Cardiff with the recruitment of a Mechanical Project Engineer to join their busy team.
Your New Role
You will provide professional leadership, advice and support on mechanical engineering matters, design standards, technical requirements and alternative methods of construction and design to achieve optimum cost-effectiveness and design solutions.
You will complete detailed designs and works specifications for mechanical schemes to meet the agreed project brief for capital schemes as well as check and approve detailed designs and works specifications for mechanical schemes completed by internal design staff and external design consultants to meet the agreed project brief.

What You'll Need To Succeed
You will have extensive mechanical engineering experience, strong construction and mechanical engineering technology knowledge, as well as have an excellent working knowledge and understanding of design, building engineering and statutory requirements, ideally within the health sector.

What You'll Get In Return
This role is being offered at an hourly rate between £30 - £40 per hour on a 3-month contract initially.
