About the Company
I'm currently recruiting for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join one of the world's leading providers of automated material handling and handling systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation projects collaborating with a global engineering team to deliver innovative, safe and efficient intralogistics solutions.
About the Role
What you'll be doing:
- Designing mechanical layouts for automated material handling systems.
- Producing engineering drawings and layouts using AutoCAD.
- Reviewing customer requirements and assessing technical feasibility.
- Supporting projects from design through to delivery.
- Working closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Software and Safety Engineers.
- Ensuring designs comply with the Machinery Directive, CDM Regulations and relevant engineering standards.
- Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Driving quality, continuous improvement and engineering excellence.

Qualifications
- A degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Required Skills
- Experience with mechanical design and engineering layouts.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Knowledge of engineering standards and machinery safety.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
- Experience or knowledge of material handling or conveyor systems is advantageous.
