Mechanical Project Manager - Shell & Core and Fit-Out Projects

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a well-established Building Services contractor delivering high-profile commercial developments across London.

Working on a portfolio of prestigious shell & core and Cat A/Cat B fit-out projects, you'll be responsible for leading the mechanical package from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing contractor with a strong reputation for delivering technically challenging projects to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the mechanical package across commercial shell & core and fit-out projects.
  • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee project programmes, procurement, labour planning, and resource allocation.
  • Manage project budgets, cost reporting, variations, and commercial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Attend client and progress meetings, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, and final project handover.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the Building Services / MEP sector.
  • Strong background delivering commercial shell & core and Cat A/Cat B fit-out projects.
  • Excellent understanding of HVAC, pipework, plant room installations, and mechanical building services.
  • SMSTS and CSCS card.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and variations.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
