Mechanical Project Manager | Fast-Track Commercial Retail
Location: Castleford (Hybrid) | Package: Competitive Base + Benefits
Peaple Talent are partnered with an industry-leading, fast-growing commercial space transformation specialist looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their growing M&E division in Castleford.
Operating across the UK, our client delivers end-to-end fit-outs, refurbishments, and mechanical asset replacement schemes for some of the country’s biggest supermarket and retail brands.
In this role, you will take operational ownership of delivering fast-track mechanical projects in live commercial environments, managing trades, on-site scheme phases, and project profitability from survey through to defect-free handover.

Key Requirements
- 5 years' experience in delivering mechanical, HVAC, and building services projects.
- Experience managing fast-track asset replacement schemes within live commercial or retail environments.
- Strong commercial mindset with hands-on experience running CVRs, managing project margins, and overseeing sub-contractors.
- Active SMSTS, CSCS Card, First Aid, and Asbestos Awareness certifications.
- Relevant qualification in Building Services or HVAC Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and deliver varying mechanical projects to a high standard across commercial retail sites.
- Lead on-site scheme phases, perform site surveys, and represent the business in scheme design meetings.
- Own project profitability, ensuring accurate CVRs are produced on time and budget margins are delivered.
- Maintain strict Health & Safety compliance across all sites, ensuring RAMS and company safety standards are met.
- Drive quality control to ensure a "right-first-time" approach aiming for defect-free handovers.
