Working on behalf of our client, we are recruiting for a Mechanical Project Manager to join a growing engineering contractor delivering mechanical projects across the UK Water sector.

Key Duties

  • Managing multiple mechanical projects from award through to completion.
  • Coordinating site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
  • Planning and monitoring project programmes to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Managing project costs, variations, and commercial performance.
  • Carrying out regular site visits across the UK to oversee project progress and resolve issues.
  • Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Producing project reports, programme updates, and project documentation.
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Managing procurement of materials, plant, and subcontractors where required.
  • Supporting project commissioning, handover, and completion.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience delivering mechanical projects within the UK Water industry.
  • Mechanical engineering background.
  • Experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, or a Project Engineer/Site Manager looking to progress into Project Management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Organised, proactive, and capable of working independently.
  • Willingness to travel to sites across the UK.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
