New Opportunity: Mechanical Project Manager

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Project Manager to join our growing team in the South. You will take responsibility for the successful commercial and operational delivery of various mechanical projects, such as plant room upgrades and boiler replacements across MoD sites. Working closely with clients, main contractors, subcontractors and commercial teams, you will ensure that all projects are delivered safely, within budget, and in compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical projects from initial scope through to completion
  • Plan and coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors and site works
  • Monitor project budgets, costs and expenditure
  • Lead and coordinate a small team of engineers and subcontractors
  • Liaise with clients, main contractors, suppliers and commercial teams
  • Identify and manage project risks, variations and additional works
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, within budget and in line with company procedures
  • Carry out site surveys, develop project scopes and prepare quotations for works
  • Prepare risk assessments and RAMS to ensure Health and Safety standards are met

What Are We Looking For?

  • Proven experience in a mechanical project manager role
  • Strong mechanical knowledge (HVAC, pipework, plant)
  • Good commercial and contractual awareness
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Relevant mechanical qualification
  • Ability to obtain SC level clearance
  • Commercial gas ticket is desirable
