IR35: Inside
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7am-5pm (40 hours per week), regular Friday overtime available paid at overtime rate
Are you an experienced Mechanical Technician looking for your next engineering challenge?
We're recruiting for a Technician to support a major rolling stock upgrade programme based at a well-established rail engineering facility in Eastleigh. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term project offering excellent rates, regular overtime, and the chance to work with a highly skilled engineering team.
The Role
As a Technician, you'll play a key role in delivering:
- Mechanical modifications and upgrades
- Fault finding, testing and commissioning
- Preventative and corrective maintenance
- Mechanical repairs and defect rectification
- Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics
- Supporting continuous improvement and safety initiatives

What We're Looking For
- Mechanical Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 Engineering (or equivalent)
- Strong Mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience working in maintenance, overhaul, modification or production environments
- Ability to read drawings and engineering documentation
- Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
Engineering Backgrounds Encouraged to Apply
