Location: Farringdon, London

Salary: £52,000

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Shift Technician to join a leading FM maintenance provider working on a prestigious corporate site based near Farringdon, London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Engineer who enjoys working in a critical environment and is looking to join a stable, long-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a high-profile commercial site, ensuring all building services remain operational and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across mechanical building services.
  • Maintain and repair a wide range of mechanical systems, including HVAC, pumps, valves, AHUs, and associated plant.
  • Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and complete remedial works efficiently.
  • Complete routine inspections, statutory checks, and ensure compliance with health & safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete job reports.
  • Work closely with the wider engineering team and specialist contractors.
  • Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and in line with client requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer within commercial building services.
  • Strong mechanical maintenance background with experience in a critical environment.
  • Stable employment history with a track record of long-term positions.
  • Experience within environments such as corporate offices, pharmaceutical, or similar highly regulated sites would be advantageous.
  • Ex-Forces engineering backgrounds will also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical building services.
  • Ability to pass required security clearance.
