Job Description:

PICOW Engineering Ltd is looking for an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to join our growing mechanical team. This is a hands-on supervisory role for someone with a strong mechanical/HVAC background who is comfortable leading a site team while also getting involved with the work when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all Mechanical activities.
  • Plan and allocate daily work to operatives.
  • Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
  • Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
  • Deliver briefings and ensure RAMS are followed.
  • Monitor progress and report delays or site issues.
  • Maintain site diaries, labour records, photographs and progress updates.
  • Ensure good housekeeping and safe working areas.
  • Liaise with clients, site management and other contractors.
  • Work alongside the Mechanical team when required.

Experience Required

  • Previous pipefitting experience.
  • Experience supervising or leading a site team.
  • Knowledge of all HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read drawings and method statements.
  • Good health and safety awareness.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel to sites across the Northwest.

Experience within Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Rail, Water or similar sectors would be advantageous, but not essential.

Relevant qualifications such as SSSTS/SMSTS, CSCS Gold Card and First Aid are advantageous.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is practical, reliable, safety-conscious and hands-on, with the leadership skills to manage a site team and the technical experience to work alongside them.
