JLL Workplace Management – Mechanical Supervisor

JLL is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our facilities management team at Culham Campus. This critical role involves overseeing commercial and domestic gas systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation of all gas-fired plant and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence across the campus.

The Mechanical Supervisor will manage all aspects of gas system maintenance, inspection, and emergency response, working within a high-specification technical environment that requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to stringent safety protocols.

This critical role involves overseeing commercial and domestic gas systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation of all gas-fired plant and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and operational excellence across the campus.

The Mechanical Supervisor will manage all aspects of gas system maintenance, inspection, and emergency response, working within a high-specification technical environment that requires meticulous attention to detail and adherence to stringent safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and servicing of gas systems and associated equipment.
  • Conducting regular plantroom and plant inspections to ensure optimal system performance and identify any potential issues before they escalate.
  • Working on high-temperature hot water (HTHW) systems, requiring specialised knowledge and experience to manage these complex installations safely and effectively.
  • Maintaining comprehensive records of all work undertaken, including training records and maintenance logs, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Current Gas Safe Registration for both commercial and domestic installations.
  • Commercial gas qualifications including:
    • CODNCO1 – Natural gas core competency
    • CIGA1 – Combustion performance analysis
    • ICPN1 – Installation of meters and emergency controls
    • TPCP1 and TPCP1A – Non-domestic gas safety and pipework up to 35mm and over 35mm
    • Relevant burner qualifications appropriate to the plant installed on site
    • BOAS – Burner technician competency
    • AP10 – Medical gas systems qualification
  • A minimum of three years' commercial boiler experience, demonstrating practical expertise in maintaining and servicing large-scale commercial heating systems.
  • Experience working on HTHW (high-temperature hot water) systems is essential.
