Mechanical Supervisor Needed in Slough!

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our mission-critical projects in Slough. STS Group is a market-leading MEP contractor, working mostly on mission-critical projects for blue-chip clients across Europe and in the UAE.

The Opportunity

As our next Supervisor, you’ll play an important role in the successful delivery of our projects, ensuring the highest quality of workmanship has been achieved and maintained throughout our projects. Our projects in Slough currently include data centre projects.

Reporting to the Construction Manager

Some of the Key Duties Will Include:

  • Daily management, supervision, and reporting, of direct labour resources, safe execution of works, and materials allocations.
  • Supervise mechanical installation teams and subcontractors on site.
  • Ensure all works are carried out according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate closely with electrical and CSA supervisors to align work fronts.
  • Monitor progress against project milestones and resolve any issues quickly.
  • Oversee QA/QC procedures, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  • Manage redline drawings, as-built documentation, and accurate site records.
  • Project administration, including recording the performance and progress of site operations and subcontractors.
  • Keep abreast of local health, safety, and sustainability best practice, laws, and regulations to ensure everyone goes home safely - Everyday.

  • 5+ years' experience working as a Supervisor on heavy industrial, data centre, or major commercial projects.
  • Qualified tradesperson, ideally.
  • Ability to read mechanical schematics and drawings.
  • Training certification including Working at Heights and Abrasive Wheel training would be an advantage.
  • Experience supervising the delivery of packages of work including Plumbing and HVAC installations.
  • Competent with computers and ability to learn new systems.
