Mechanical Supervisor – South Coast
🔧 We’re Hiring – Experienced Mechanical Supervisor | South Coast
Barnfield Engineering Services is continuing to grow, and due to increased customer demand, we’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team and support a range of exciting projects across the South Coast and wider Southern region.
We specialise in delivering complete mechanical engineering solutions within the water and wastewater industry, from design and fabrication through to installation and commissioning.
The Role:
As Mechanical Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for overseeing mechanical installation works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience supervising mechanical installation teams
- Strong mechanical fitting and installation experience
- Experience within the water/wastewater industry would be highly advantageous
- Experience with pipework, valves, pumps, steelwork and mechanical equipment
- Knowledge of mechanical installation, steel structures and handrailing
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of site health & safety requirements
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A proactive approach and strong work ethic
- Full UK driving licence – essential

This is a hands-on supervisory role, so we’re looking for someone who can lead from the front, coordinate site activities and work closely with our project management and engineering teams.
📍 Location: South Coast / Southern England
💼 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
⏱️ Monday–Friday, with overtime and weekend work available
