Mylar Specialty Films (Formerly Dupont Teijin Films) is a leading global producer of PET and PEN polyester films specialising in film products and related services for markets and industries including Battery Materials, Durable Cards, Electrical Insulation and Capacitors, Flexible Electronics, Healthcare, Imaging Media, Labels, Packaging, Photovoltaics and many more. Mylar Specialty Films is a 50/50 Joint Venture between Celanese Corporation and Teijin Limited. The business has approximately 2000 employees worldwide with manufacturing sites in Asia Pacific, America, and Europe. The UK production site is based in Dumfries, Scotland, and the Global Research & Development Operation is based at Wilton on Teesside.

Responsibilities
- Maintain production equipment and maximize availability through a combination of reactive, proactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance methods while working to the highest health & safety standards.
- Ensuring records are up to date in CMMS.
Job Details
This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday days with a requirement to work longer shifts as required, which includes 12-hour day shifts, night shifts, and weekend working.
Basic Qualifications
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience carrying out a similar role in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Knowledge and experience of maintaining pumps, fans, gearboxes, bearings, valves, pneumatics, hydraulics, and plant services.
- Experience of safe systems of work and risk assessment.
- Ability to work to tight tolerances.
- Ability to work and communicate in a team.
- Adaptable and flexible to provide onsite support outside of normal working hours when required.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- HNC in mechanical engineering desirable.
- Experience of a Computerised Maintenance Management System desirable.
- Willingness to develop.

- Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and a valid work permit, if required.
