Mechanical Technician
Equans is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our team in Edmonton, London. This is a full-time role with participation in an on-call rota for one week per month. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
- Complete planned preventative maintenance on HVAC, boilers, water systems, and building services equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, clear blockages, and respond to emergency breakdowns
- Undertake Authorised Person and Competent Person duties in line with safe systems of work
- Maintain healthcare systems safely while supporting compliance, teamwork, and service continuity

Who are you?
- Experienced as a Mechanical Technician or in a similar role
- Skilled in maintaining and repairing HVAC, plumbing, boilers, and mechanical building services
- Experienced in Authorised Person and Competent Person duties
- Knowledgeable in health and safety, risk assessments, and method statements
- Able to fault find, solve problems, and work accurately under pressure
- Comfortable working independently and with colleagues, contractors, and healthcare staff
- Relevant City and Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification is desirable
- Healthcare or critical infrastructure experience is desirable
- Physically able to work at height, in confined spaces, and demanding environments
- Willing to participate in the on-call rota and attend relevant training
Background checks
This role is based within a healthcare environment and may require employment screening, occupational health checks, and additional background checks in line with client, contractual, and site requirements. Further checks will be confirmed during the recruitment process.
