An Exciting Time to Join SYOS Aerospace!
SYOS Aerospace is scaling its SA60 aviation programme and expanding production. We’re looking for experienced Aviation Mechanical Technicians to join our growing team in Fareham and play a hands-on role in building, testing and deploying next-generation uncrewed aircraft.
What You’ll Do
Working alongside our engineering and production teams, you’ll help bring SA60 aircraft to life through:
- Mechanical assembly, fit-out and integration
- Installing components to drawings, specifications and work instructions
- Aircraft build, modification, inspection and rectification
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Troubleshooting mechanical issues during build and testing
- Supporting ground testing and aircraft preparation
- Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and workmanship
- Working collaboratively across mechanical, electrical, avionics and engineering teams
What We’re Looking For

Ideally, You’ll Have
- Experience as an Aircraft Fitter, Aviation Technician, Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Technician or similar
- Experience in aviation, aerospace, defence, automotive, marine or another regulated engineering environment
- Strong mechanical fitting and assembly skills
- Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation
- A practical approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Experience with aircraft structures, composites, hydraulics, pneumatics, modifications or uncrewed systems is advantageous but not essential.

Permanent roles are initially based in Fareham, Hampshire, with potential for future production locations as the business scales. Relocation support may be available where required.
