The Role - Mechanical Technician
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical biased Technician to join a fascinating aviation MRO business.
You will be supporting the precision assembly, repair, overhaul, and testing of integrated aircraft mechanical assemblies and systems.
This is a hands-on role that requires an engineer’s problem solving due to the nature of some of the systems and assemblies, as every day will present new technical challenges.
This role would suit someone who enjoys problem solving on mechanically biased systems or mechanical restoration projects (Classic cars, Aircraft, Classic bikes) such as mechanics or aircraft technicians.

Duties - Mechanical Technician
- Disassemble aircraft mechanical assemblies to assess condition, wear, and serviceability.
- Perform precision mechanical repairs and reassembly.
- Support “Reduce to Produce” activities to maximise component recovery.
- Interpret and apply Component Maintenance Manuals and Repair Instructions.
- Select appropriate materials, consumables, and repair methods in line with aviation standards.
- Bring assemblies and components back to an overhauled standard.
Background - Mechanical Technician
- Precision mechanical assembly, repair, or overhaul.
- Knowledge of engines, gearboxes, transmission systems build (Desirable)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high workmanship
- Exposure to hydraulic assembly and testing.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Capable of creating work procedures in the absence of existing SOP’s
