Mechanical Technician - Garelochhead
Permanent | Garelochhead, Scotland | Salary DOE

What will you be doing?
- Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance
- Fault finding and repairing mechanical equipment
- Overhauling and replacing components
- Fitting and assembling mechanical equipment
- Completing PPMs, inspections and maintenance records
- Responding to equipment breakdowns and supporting emergency activities
- Working within strict Permit to Work, H&S and process safety procedures
- Undertaking confined space work following specialist training
- Participating in an on-call rota and occasional short-notice overtime

Where will you be doing it?
You'll be working at a safety-critical fuel storage and distribution facility, helping keep essential mechanical equipment safe, reliable and operational. The role offers a hands-on engineering environment with strong emphasis on process safety and operational reliability.
What will you need?
- Mechanical Engineering qualification / completed apprenticeship
- Experience in mechanical maintenance, repair and fault finding
- Industrial or safety-critical experience is desirable
- Good understanding of PPM and safe working procedures
- Willingness to undertake specialist training, on-call duties and overtime
